Anna Hazare's protest enters Day 2, vows not to give up fight

New Delhi, Feb 24 (PTI) : Social activist Anna Hazare on Tuesday sat on protest for the second day in the national capital against the contentious land ordinance and said he would not relent till the controversial legislation is scrapped.

Social activist Anna Hazare on Tuesday sat on protest for the second day in the national capital against the contentious land ordinance and said he would not relent till the controversial legislation is scrapped.

Before beginning his protest today, Hazare said people from political parties were welcome to join the agitators but will not share the stage with him and made it clear that he would not allow any political colour to the agitation. "If the political parties come on the stage, then it would appear that it is being done by the party," he said. He accused the NDA government of not heeding to farmers' interests. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal will join Hazare in the afternoon. When asked whether Kejriwal will be allowed to share the stage with him, Hazare did not give a clear answer.

Yesterday, Hazare had said a jail-bharo movement will be launched from the Ramlila Ground after carrying out "padyatra" across the country for three-four months. Accusing the government of only caring for corporates, Hazare said he will not relent till government withdraws the controversial ordinance. "The political parties are of the country only. And, people running the government are also from the country. The people who suffer injustice are also from this country. And, so if farmers are meted out injustice and if everyine comes together to fight injustice, then what is the problem," Hazare told reporters.

All will be okay IF the land owners are given:
1] The compensation three times more than the value of the land. And it must be done without much delay.
2] The land loser must get Pension as long as that given land is in use by the govt or private parties. It is a FOREVER AND EVER commitment by the govt to those who give up their precious land for govt or private projects.
3] The land loser must be given at least one permanent govt job forever as long as that taken away piece of land is in use.
4] Make the land loser the BENEFICIARY of the TAXES collected from the public. [Eg: Road TAX, Toll TAX, Land TAX and so on]
5] Let the land losers be the permanent partners of the govt to receive monthly income as their rightful earnings for giving their very precious land for the development works and needs of the govt or private companies.

Suppose I have to give away 4 to 10 acres of land for some govt or private company projects, I must get a much higher monthly income than that of my land was giving me after my hard labour on it.

Suppose my land is taken for national Highway, or any Road, Railway line or for any kind of factory by the govt or by any private company for any projects, here I must be benefiting as the govt or the private company enjoys the profit for years to come.

If this is the RULE of the Nation, then you see there will be a bee line of farmers to give land of any sort for the projects, factories, or any other needs of the country.

IT IS NOT GOOD TO PAY UNJUST COMPENSATIONS TO THE LAND LOSER AND MAKE HIM BEGGAR FOR LIFE. IT MUST BE WIN-WIN SITUATION FOR THE PARTIES.

WHY MUST THE LAND LOSER BE THE BROAD MINDED PERSON AND NOT THE GOVT OR THE PRIVATE COMPANIES GENEROUS IN GIVING AWAY THE JUST COMPENSATION? Do not be the cause of curse from the land losers. who are poor.

Now the Indian political system and administration is in the doldrums. Communal’s in one side the seculars in another side. The CIPIM, RSS, CPI, BD, VHP and many ajaagarana and hagarana veidhike’s are sprouting.

Peace is stirred up like the chaaimaker pours tea in his mug from above to the glass and the foam remains for a while and withers.

Dear citizens take note, be alert, chaos and lawlessness in the offing.
Mountainous promises and rewards offered by the political parties and couldn’t deliver. Lot of U Turns and rounding in the round about.
I am still waiting for 15 Lakhs in my account.

    I don’t need 24X7 T.V. Bhaashans.
    Need Delivery of promises

Land acquisitions should compensate well as per the market rates. Farm land / agricultural land should not be used. This is India not Gujarat to pay very meager amount to favor election funds from Adani Ambani and bambani.

    Good Governance for the Farmer:

In a vast country like India where farm sector commands the maximum populace , it’s sad that farmer’s lives , income and social security are all still in primitive stage.
In fact as per NSSO(NationalSample Survey Org.) data 50 % of the farm households are in debt.

There is an increase in suicides amongst the farmers in not just Vidharbha region but also in many states including Gujarat, Punjab and Tamil Nadu as well. Hence Growth and Development should encompass and be inclusive of the Farming Sector as well.

So far the Lobby for the farmers is not done by any farm lobby which is utterly helpless and confused, nor by the academic experts but by self propelling publicity seeking officials or former officials posing as farm experts.
Farming actually encompasses not just statistics but a whole range of emotions, empathy and leader’s commitment, integrity and a rural vision. Governance in this important sector needs to be more articulate from the P.M. downwards only then we could trust what others and other sectors, CII and others, the political elite included, have got to say and do in this India’s most critical sector.
Importance to farming will stop the crazy influx of the rural population to our already crowded and polluted cities. Family farming needs to be encouraged and farmers provided with facilities to improve and increase the productivity of the land. Land takeover norms and other schemes in the name of development should be scrapped and the owner and tiller of the soil given his rightful claims of ownership which must be protected from private and government land sharks.
They say the ‘Culture of all cultures is Agriculture’ and this is a factual statement as without giving importance to Agriculture , we may well be once again inviting the begging bowls of the 1960’s.

We have land enough to produce for at least 20 family's for a year, but thanks to land reform acts and now 1 rupees rice, and other vote bank bhaagya schemes we are cultivating only 5% of it due to accute labor shortage. We are waiting for a good price from some real estate or industrialist so that atleast we get some money to invest in something which may bring us returns than simply laying the barren land waiting to be occupied by invaders from kerala.

What solution does people like Anna or these same con gress which is fighting on behalf of farmers can give to my father who is a farmer till date seeing his agricultural land wasted.

If every one think like this then surely one day we will haveno food to eat. Government should know that as much as industries are required. in similar way.
    1. Earlier Land Acquisition Act 2014 of UPA was much better, it gave more rights to farmers where if government fails to complete the purpose of acquisition then the land will be back to farmers.
This ordinance clearly exempts the "industrial use" criteria.
Thus it is crystal clear why Ambani and Adani supported Modi

Well if just "thinking" could have produced crops in the fields, I would have been driving Phantom. I am not talking about which rules are better for land acquisition, but how is the govt going to really help farmers in encouraging them to cultivate in their Land ? not the law which will give us good rates for the land we sell. For outsiders its easy to say. What is the use of a land which is not cultivated , barren for almost a decade now,… don’t you think instead of waiting for acche din which will never come in globalization, sell it off . Ask Siddaramiah , from where he is getting the 1 rs rice ? not from Karnataka but cheap rice from the north. So why do we have to bother about feeding others when we have problem filling our own stomach.

Previous UPA Govt had waived the Farmers Loan which helped the entire farmers community through out the country.
In globalization sell your land to good price.... nice idea.... once its lost then only will one know the importance of that thing.
