Bahrain, Jan 25: MANGALOREANS or KUDLADAR are in the news again and this time it is in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

The Bahrain based Lobo International, joining hands with the “THE PALACE” and organizing a day-long celebration “KUDLOTHSAVA – 2007” in its premises in Juffair on 2nd February 2007.

The entry tickets for this long-awaited event have been released on 20th January 2007 in the Palace premises.  The reputable ETISALCOM has stepped forward to be the Main Sponsors for this delightful and fun-filled event.

Kudlothsava 2007 will be inaugurated at 12:00 Noon sharp by the Chief Guest His Excellency Balakrishna Shetty, the Indian Ambassador to Bahrain.  Joining the panel of distinguished guests will be Oscar Fernandes, a Central Minister and his wife Blossom Fernandes as well as Nagaraj Shetty, State Minister for Fisheries and Transportation.

The cultural part of the programme is expected to commence at 4:00 PM.  About 25 well known artists from various entertainment sectors in Karanataka will be participating in this programme which include – The Baila King / Queen Claud and Anita, famous music director and playback singer Guru Kiran, Sri Kanth who is also known as the Mohammed Rafi of Mangalore and folk Dances by the State Award Winners - Tanniru Bavi Yuvaka Mandala.  A special comedy troupe consisting of Dolla and Kulla will be arriving from Mangalore with their latest jokes to enthrall the crowd.

As an added attraction, Mangalore’s renowned century-old Brass Band – “Harry’s” will be playing throughout the programme with their trumpets, jingles, etc. 

The anchor for the event will be Sahil Zaheer, a famous personality from Namma TV. 

Apart from the above, the following activities have been lined up for the day:

 Ladies  : Throw Ball
 Youth  : Kabbadi
 Children : Mosaru Kudike

Anand Lobo is the main co-ordinator for the programme and will be ably supported by Messrs. Shankar Jathanna and Girish Iddya.
