Female US citizen abducted in Nigeria


Lagos, Feb 24 (IANS): Police in central north Nigeria's Kogi state confirmed Tuesday that unknown gunmen Monday kidnapped an American woman doing missionary work in the state.

State police spokesperson Sola Collins Adebayo told reporters in Lokoja, the state capital, that the gunmen stormed a school premises around 10 a.m. shooting sporadically to scare away people before taking her away into the bush, Xinhua news agency reported.
