Mangalore: Teenage Brothers Drowned in a Tragic Accident

Jappinamogaru, Mangalore Jan 28: Jappinamogaru, Mangalore Jan 28: In a shocking incident, two sons of a poor family were drowned while playing on the shores of  River  Nethravathi during the evening hours of today.

15 year old Ranjith a 10th standard student and his younger Brother Lijesh – 13 years of age – 8th grade student were playing on the shores of the river as their usual routine on a Sunday –  their weekend  holiday when  they were suddenly  absorbed by the current of the flowing river.

 Their father is security guard and mother is a cleaner in a hospital who lost their only sons shattering their dreams by tragic death of their both children.

 "We  lost  everything in life and have nothing left  to look forward to” lamented the devastated  mother crying uncontrollably.  Any efforts made by the  neighbours and bystanders to console the grief stricken mother  failed to calm her down

 This tragic incident has brought shock waves among the neighbouring community and people were found speechless.

 Until 11.00pm IST the bodies have not yet been traced.  Efforts are on to locate the bodies.
