India strongly condemns Kabul terror attack

New Delhi, Feb 27 (IANS): Strongly condemning the terrorist attack targeting a Turkish embassy vehicle in Kabul, India Friday said it was "another sad reminder that terrorism is the main threat to peace and stability in Afghanistan".

"We strongly condemn the terrorist attack in Kabul resulting in loss of valuable lives, including that of a Turkish soldier. We convey our deepest condolences to the families of the victims and wish a speedy recovery to the wounded," said the external affairs ministry spokesperson in a statement.

A suicide bomber rammed a car packed with explosives into a vehicle carrying Turkish delegates in the Afghan capital during the morning rush hour Thursday. One Turkish national and an Afghan passerby were killed in the attack.

"This attack is another sad reminder that terrorism is the main threat to peace and stability in Afghanistan," the spokesperson said.

The Taliban has claimed responsibility for the attack.
