Rons Bantwal for Daijiworld Media Network - Mumbai (AF)

Mumbai, Jan 29: The diamond jubilee of the Billawara Association was celebrated on Saturday January 27 at the Billawara Bhavana at Santa Cruz here.

Former union minister of state for finance Janardhan Poojary inaugurated the programme.

Association president Jaya C Suvarna presdided over the programme. Shri Niranjana Swamiji of Shri Ambika Annapoorneshwari Temple blessed the occasion.

Spiritual programmes were held as part of the event under the leadership of Purohita K Sadashiva Shanti.

Former state home minister Narottamdas Damodar Chanilo, Purohita K Sadashiva Shanti, Billawa Social Service Sangha, Pune president Sunder Poojary, Nasik businessman Gangadhar K Amin, Mumbai businessmen Harish G Amin, Harish G Bangera, Bangalore businessman U Bhojraj, Sonali Narottamadas, Association honorary treasurer N M Sunil, women's wing working president Jayanti V Ullal were present on the dais.

Poojary also released a souvenir on the occasion and released a copy of 'Samprata' by honorary chief editor M B Kukian.

Taranath Salian and Narayan Shetty were felicitated on the occasion.

Vice-presidents Vasudeva R Kotian, L V Amin, honorary chief treasurer Bhaskar V Bangera, organising committee working president Y Nagesh and secretary Shankar D Poojary and othres were present.
