Mangalore, Jan 30: "Kala Surabhi-07", a fest of art and handicrafts was inaugurated in the NGO Hall at Hampankatta here recently. The handicrafts fest has been organized by Mangalore Institute of Fashion Technology (MIFT). More than 100 paintings have been displayed at the fest.
Mayor Vijaya Arun inaugurated "Kala Surabhi-07" in the morning. The stage programme was presided over by MG Hegde, founder president of MIFT. Prof S N Shivprakash, professor at Fisheries College was the chief guest on the occasion. MIFT principal Kasturi Shetty was also present for the inaugural function.
The programme began with prayer by Shubha while Rohini welcomed the gathering. Kripa proposed the vote of thanks and Anusha compered the programme.
