Bundesliga match continues despite extremists' warning

Bremen (Germany), Feb 28 (IANS): Werder Bremen's Bundesliga match against Wolfsburg won't change its schedule Sunday despite Bremen police warning of danger posed by Islamic extremists here.

"There is currently no thought of a postponement," Werder chief executive Thomas Eichin said Saturday, reports Xinhua.

The police said security would be tightened in the city centre and the airport due to potential activity from extremists. More than 40,000 fans are expected to go to the Weser Stadium to watch Werder Bremen against second placed Wolfsburg.
