Honda Motorcycle logs 10 percent sales growth


Chennai, March 2 (IANS): Two-wheeler maker Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India logged 10 percent sales growth in February, an official statement said on Monday.

In a statement, the company said it sold a total of 3,61,493 units last month up from 3,28,468 units sold in February 2014.

The two-wheeler industry as a whole logged two percent negative growth last month as compared to February 2014 sales numbers, it added.

Honda Motorcycle said it has increased its domestic market share by three percent to 29 percent last month as compared to February 2014 market share.

The company said the tentative industry sales for last month were 13,81,516 units down from 14,04,320 units sold during February 2014.
