One killed in downtown Cairo bombing


Cairo, March 2 (IANS): At least one person was killed on Monday when a bomb exploded at the High Court building in Egypt's capital city of Cairo.

The area surrounding the building, which houses the General Prosecutor's office and houses the headquarters of some of the country's most senior courts, is currently being searched by explosives experts, state-run Al Ahram online reported.

The explosion took place in downtown Cairo's crowded Ramses Street.

A probe has been launched into the blast.
