Bantwal, Feb 1: A young man from Soorikumeru near Borimar here was found dead in a lodge at B C Road here on Wednesday January 31.  The police said that he had ended his life by consuming poison.

The deceased young man has been identified as Ryan Crasta (25), son of Charles Crasta, a resident of Soorikumeru and a parishioner of St Joseph Church Borimar.

The lodge authorities said that Ryan had been staying in the lodge for the last couple of days.  He was spotted by lodge staff both on Monday and Tuesday.  But when he did not come out of the room for long Wednesday morning, the lodge staff broke open the door.

They found Ryan dead on the bed.  Police were immediately informed about the suicide.  The autopsy reports said that Ryan had committed suicide by consuming poison.

In his diary which was found in his room, he had written the suicide note that he alone was responsible for his suicide.  He also stated that he was desperate after not getting a job in army for which he was trying for long.

The Bantwal town police have registered a case in this regard.
