Rain havoc in Pakistan kills 17


Islamabad, March 3 (IANS): Rain-related incidents in Pakistan have claimed 17 lives, with seven people dying when a two-storey building near Rawalpindi collapsed during heavy rains.

The collapse took place in Wah Cantonment on Monday, also injuring five people, Dunya TV reported on Tuesday. Army and police personnel took part in the rescue operations and recovered seven bodies from the debris.

On Monday, at least 10 people, including three children and a woman, died in separate rain-related incidents in the country.
