Beltangady, Feb 1: The grand mahamastakabhisheka celebrations at Dharmasthala entered the fifth day on Thursday February 1 with the commencement of religious rituals at 10.45 am.
As part of the rituals Bhagwan Bahubali was anointed with 516 kalashas (pots) in the morning. This was followed by jalabhisheka (anointing with water).
Daijiworld correspondent reporting from Dharmasthala said that a special anointing “drivyabhisheka” wherein ghee and kumkum will be poured on the monolith statue of Bhagwal Bahubali will be held later in the day.
