Mangalore, Feb 1: Karavali Utsav, the annual cultural fest and exhibition of the district has now been extended upto Sunday February 11.

This was announced in a press conference held here on Thursday February 1 by Yogish Kumar.

As per the original schedule Karavali Utsav which began on December 21, 2006 was supposed to go on upto Saturday February 3.  However, owing to demand from public, the fest has now been extended upto February 11.

Other than exhibition and sale during the fest, every evening special cultural programme showcasing the folklore, traditional art etc of the district is staged at the Rani Abbakka stage.  These cultural programmes have been praised by one and all for their sheer quality and creativity.

On Saturday February 3 evening "Swarna Ranjini (contemporary music) by Suramani Pravin Godhkindi and his team members of Krishna Fusion Band, Bangalore will be held.

Ashok Kumar, Rohinath and Dinesh were also present at the press conference.
