Mangalore, Feb 2: A seminar on "The Fascinating Field of Astronomy" was inaugurated at the IT Auditorium on Friday February 2 morning. The seminar is organized by the department of physics and astroclub.
Prof Eshwar Reddy, scientist, Indian Institute of Astrophysics, Bangalore presented a paper on "Stars and our milky way" during the first session.
This session was followed by a talk by Prof Jayant Murthy, professor of Indian Institute of Astrophysics, Bangalore on "The Interstellar Medium."
Dr Prajval Shastri, a noted astrophysicist from Bangalore is slated to deliver a lecture on "Galaxies" during the afternoon session.
