Mangalore, Feb 2: City-based Central Beary Sahitya Parishat in association with Chikmagalur Beary Federation is organizing Fourth Beary Literary Conference at district Vokkaliga community hall on Tuesday February 27.

This was announced in a press conference here by Beary Sahitya Parishat president M B Abdul Rahman on Friday February 2. 

He said that the senior litterateur Fakir Muhammad Katpadi will preside over the literary conference.  He has been a prolific writer and has won Kannada Rajyotsava Award in 2001 apart from National Katha Award, Tulushree and Karnataka Sahitya Academy awards.  Several of his writings have been translated to various languages all-over.

The theme for the Beary literary conference will be ‘Prosperity through literature, progress through education and unity for security'.

The conference will cosist of cultural programmes, discussions in order to have a deep study into Beary traditions, literature and culture.

Parishat treasurer U T Khadar, vice-president B A Akbar Ali, Chikmagalur Beary federation president K Muhammad were also present at the press conference.
