22 swine flu cases in Odisha


Bhubaneswar, March 9 (IANS): A doctor in Odisha has tested positive for swine flu, taking the number of those infected by the H1N1 virus to 22 in the state, an official said on Monday.

The number of people who have died due to swine flu has remained five with no death reported this week, Bikash Patnaik, joint director, Odisha health directorate, told IANS.

The 49-year-old doctor has been admitted to a private hospital in Bhubaneswar on March 4 after he complained of breathlessness and uneasiness.

His swabs were sent to a laboratory and test reports on Sunday confirmed that he was suffering from swine flu, Patnaik said.
