Chinese national arrested near Pakistan-Afghanistan border


Islamabad, March 9 (IANS): Pakistani security forces on Monday arrested a Chinese national near the Pakistan-Afghanistan border.

According to officials, Chinese national Liu Yongguang was arrested near Takhta Beg checkpost in Khyber Agency, Dawn online reported.

He had no legal documents and was handed over to the Special Branch of police for further investigation.

In the wake of the Army Public School carnage in Peshawar on December 16 which killed more than 140 students and staff, authorities have been strictly checking travel documents of commuters at the border.
