Tibetan leader to woo the young in US

Dharamsala, March 9 (IANS): The 17th Tibetan Karmapa, Ogyen Trinley Dorje, will visit the US where he will interact with the young.

Beginning March 17, the religious leader during his two-month tour will deliver lectures in six universities.

The monk, who also paints and writes poems and books, will attend classes and participate in informal dialogues with students as well as faculty, an aide told IANS.

He will visit Stanford University, Harvard University, Princeton University, University of Redlands, Yale University and the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Since his dramatic escape from Tibet to India in 2000, this will be the Karmapa's third visit to the US.
