Delhi Congress joins drive against swine flu in capital

New Delhi, March 9 (IANS): The Delhi Congress will launch a three-day campaign to spread awareness about swine flu starting from Wednesday, party chief Ajay Maken said on Monday.

"We will help the Delhi government in tackling the outbreak of swine flu by organising awareness camps at 138 metro stations, all the major markets, universities and colleges," Maken said a day after taking over as the president of the Delhi unit of the Congress.

The drive will involve party workers in groups of 10-15 at all the stations and the universities.

"They will carry placards and distribute pamphlets among the citizens. Through our help, I hope the impact of swine flu will dwindle in the national capital," Maken said.
