Puttur, Feb 6: A young bike rider was killed after the bike he was riding skidded at Mottethadka near here on Sunday February 4 night.
The deceased youth has been identified as Sushanth (22), son of Suresh Kalluraya, a resident of Banari of Mundur near here. On Sunday night he was on his way back home when his bike skidded in front of the Shri Rakta Chamundeshwari Temple at Mottethadka.
As a result, Sushanth lost control over the vehicle and finally the bike rammed into a tree and Sushanth sustained critical injuries in his head. He was rushed to a local hospital from where he was later shifted to a private hospital in Mangalore. However, he succumbed to injuries in hospital on Monday evening.
Puttur police have registered a case in this regard.
