Anjali Damania quits AAP; accuses Arvind Kejriwal of horse-trading

New Delhi, Mar 11 (Agencies) : The Aam Aadmi Party suffered a big setback on Wednesday when its face in Maharashtra, Anjali Damania, quit the party and alleged that Arvind Kejriwal had indulged in horse-trading.

Damania tweeted: “I quit, I have not come into AAP for this nonsense. I believed him; I backed Arvind for principles not horse-trading.”

As per reports, Damania is upset with Kejriwal after it came to the fore that he had allegedly tried to break away Congress MLAs to get the numbers to be back as Delhi CM after the Lok Sabha poll loss. The allegation is based on a taped conversation between Rajesh Garg, AAP’s ex-MLA from Rohini, and Kejriwal in July 2014.

Garg has also confirmed that he indeed had a conversation with Kejriwal in which the Delhi CM said that he wants to break away Congress MLAs.

However, Damania’s decision to quit is surprising as she has been all along known as someone who was close to Kejriwal. Damania had backed the Kejriwal camp in the ongoing tussle with Prashant Bhushan and Yogendra Yadav.

She had even accused Bhushan of wanting the party to lose the recent Delhi Assembly polls.

It is the second time that Damania has announced her resignation from the party. In June 2014, she had quit citing lack of communication within the party only to later taken a U-turn after being assured of the formation of a new state executive that would be transparent and broad-based to ensure adequate communication with party workers.

Damania had unsuccessfully contested the Lok Sabha polls from Nagpur against Nitin Gadkari.

As soon as Aap government resigned they asked for dissolution of Assembly & had called for FRESH Election, while BJP opposed & tried horse trading & Operation Kamala with crores of rupees to buy MLAs, but when failed in their attempt they delayed the election as long as possible.
Only after Aap went to Court & court asked the Center to conduct elections did Modi bow & called for election in Delhi.
Rest is History now, beating the dead horse seems to be only option left to BJP or Damaniya to get into good books of Amith & Co.

    1. Why Anjali Damania then remained in AAP for so long?
    2. Rajesh Garg, AAP’s ex-MLA from Rohini made Anjali to speak up.
    3. Even if the reports are true, AAP had no clear mandate then. Congress initially supported AAP and then withdrew. BJP Didn't take initiation to form Govt even after having maximum numbers.
    4. Those had accused AAP of running away for Governance, have no right to blame for they were accusing AAP. They can term it that AAP may have made efforts to give stable Govt.

I think these kind of hiccups will be there initially because Kejriwal is not a God to read what is in the one join his party. There may be several opportunists have joined AAP. These opportunists definitely run away once they come to know that they can not gain by joining AAP. Let us hope for the best and let us see how much Kejriwal is true.

Its nothing but Huge success at the expense of leading parties in Delhi have made everyone jump like monkeys to share the pie.
She knows in Mumbai Aap has a long way to go & its better to jump to the winning side to get elevated like Kiran Bedi to get some plum post in Mumbai itself.
The easy way to do is bash AK & to be darling of Amith & Modi instantly.
Politicians never stop party hopping in search of better pasture.
Aap though looks like A K centrik, is built by volunteers & any desertions or inclusion of people who on their own won't garner any votes or loyalty of people whom one can count using their fingers only.

AAP leader Kamal Mithra Chenoy was blaming Yogendra & Bhushan and batting for Kejriwal one day in the news hour. But very next day he was started to talk against Kejriwal on the same channel. 3 days back Anjali Damania also criticizing Yogen, Bhushan and praising Kejriwal. But today she quit the party. I believe, really there are some serious problems in the party. Aravind Kejriwal is a mentally crack and he is not fit for the governance. It is better for him to join any labour organizations and sit in dharna every day. So AAP is a broken house and party will destroy very soon. All its MLAs better to join Congress and form the govt in Delhi. Otherwise Ambani will purchase all their MLAs and form the govt through BJP.
