Srikanth, Sai Praneeth, Pawar in Swiss Open third round


Basel, March 11 (IANS): Leading Indian shuttler Kidambi Srikanth, B. Sai Praneeth and Anand Pawar reached the third round of the $125,000 Swiss Open Grand Prix Gold at the St. Jakobshalle stadium here on Wednesday.

World No.5 Srikanth defeated Germany's World No.60 Dieter Domke 21-10, 21-14 in 25 minutes. In the next round, the 23-year-old Indian will meet Denmark's Emil Holst.

World No.53 Pawar overcame a strong challenge from World No.87 Daren Liew. The Indian won 13-21, 22-20, 21-16 in 57 minutes against the Malaysian.

World No.36 Sai Praneeth registered a 21-11, 21-13 win over Malaysian Beryno Jiann Tze Wong in 23 minutes.
