Five soldiers killed in Syria bombing


Damascus, March 13 (IANS/EFE): At least five soldiers from Syrian President Bashar al-Assad's regime were killed and four others wounded in a car bomb attack on Thursday in Homs province, a report said.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) said the attack targeted the Sad Hannoura checkpoint on the Palmyra-Homs road.

The vehicle used in the bombing was a van loaded with one and a half tonnes of explosives, SANA news agency reported.
