Five injured in firing in Himachal village


Shimla, March 13 (IANS): Five members of a family sustained grievous injuries when a drunk man fired at his brother and his daughters in a Himachal Pradesh village on Friday, police said.

A property dispute is believed to be behind the incident.

Chint Ram, 45, a resident of Khusri village in Solan district, fired from his licensed double-barrel gun at his brother Anant Ram. He was intoxicated at the time of the crime, a police officer told IANS.

The accused was arrested and his weapon seized.

The injured were referred to Chandigarh's PGI hospital.
