Kundapur: Thousands attend annual car festival at Kollur

Kundapur, Mar 15: The annual car festival of Goddess Mookambika Temple at Kollur was held amidst religious rituals and fanfare on Saturday March 14.

Priest of the temple, Ramachandra Adiga, guided Muhoorta Bali, Kshipra Bali, Ratha Bali and other rituals. Temple managing trustee, Krishnaprasad Adyantaya, executive officer, V Prasanna, and Kollur gram panchayat president, Laxmidevi, were present when the chariot of the goddess was pulled. Byndoor MLA, Gopal Poojary, too participated in the festival.

Devotees from Karnataka, Kerala, Tamill Nadu, and other places thronged the festival in thousands. Local police sub-inspector, Jayanth, supervised law and order situation with the help of personnel.
