Udupi, Mar 15: The inauguration of ‘Right to healthy food ‘- one day seminar was held on Sunday March 15 on account of world consumers’ day at Vaikunta Baliga college of law in association with human rights foundation, food civil supply and consumer affairs department.

District in charge minister Vinay Kumar Sorake inaugurated the programme by lightening the lamp.

Addressing the gathering he said "Children, the future of tomorrow have the right to mould their future. There is a need to create awareness among people regarding right food."

Referring to Kasturi Rangan report said, "This report has created lots of puzzles and complications in the minds of people due to lack of awareness.. Society should change with the situation."

Udupi MLA Pramod Madhwaraj said "Sickness comes from polluted water and malnutrition. Consumers should use quality and quantity products."

Ravindranath Shanubhag, President of Basrur Consumer Forum, Yogeshwar, Ramachandra Sharma were present on the occasion.
