Moodbidri, Feb 10: One person was killed in a rickshaw-mobike collision at Bannadka on National Highway 13 on Thursday February 8 night.
The deceased has been identified as Guruprasad (23), a resident of Marpadi near here. He was a mechanic in Hero Honda showroom here. The bike rider Rajesh, a bus driver by profession has sustained serious injuries and admitted to hospital.
The accident occurred when Rajesh and Guruprasad were going to the former's house on his bike. Guruprasad was riding pillion. A rickshaw coming from Belvai rammed into the bike. As a result both Rajesh and Guruprasad were thrown on to the road.
They were immediately rushed to the hospital for treatment. However, Guruprasad succumbed to injuries later.
The Moodbidri police have registered a case in this regard.
