Two killed in Afghanistan roadside bombing


Kabul, March 16 (IANS): Two civilians were killed and four others sustained injuries when a car struck a roadside bomb planted by militants in Afghnaista's Ghazni province, an official said on Monday.

"A mine planted by militants on a road in Andar district struck a car on Sunday night leaving two women dead and injuring four others, including a child and the driver," Xinhua news agency quoted Shafiq Nang, a spokesman for the provincial government, as telling reporters in Ghazni city, 125 km south of Afghanistan's capital Kabul .

Taliban militants fighting the government and largely relying on suicide and roadside bombings have not yet claimed responsibility.
