Dubai: Konkani Play Steals Show at MVCA Annual Day

Dubai, Feb 10: Couple of extraordinarily-talented new actors came to light during the annual day celebrations of Moodubidri Varado Catholic Association (Udentichim Neketram) on Friday February 9 at English Speaking Emirates School, Jumairah.
Pradeep Barboza of Paladka, a young writer and actor exhibited his wonderful acting and directorial skills through his play "Hasthai Kiteak Pixea?'. A well-prepared play with a good theme and talented actors enthralled the jam-packed audience.
Earlier the annual day programme started with a prayer. Fr Fredrick D'Souza, parish priest of St Mary's Catholic Church and Mark Denis D'Souza of Fortuna Engineering Sharjah were the chief guests on the occasion.
The new office bearers took charge as outgoing president Rudlolf Sanctis handed over the responsibilities to its new president Arun D`Costa, who was elected for the post for the second time.
The afternoon session was dominated by Konkani play, with superb background settings, sound, music and professional approach of actors.
Joshwe and Sunita compered the event.
