Mangalore, Feb 11: The prime accused in the Polali Ananthu murder case have been acquitted.

The barbarous death of Ananthu took place in 2004 at the Polali Dwara here. Following investigation, the police had arrested four persons. Agsar Ali, Latheef, Naseer Hussain and Mohammed Rafique have been acquitted.

However on basis of lack of evidence, the four were acquitted by the district sessions judge.
