Udupi, Feb 12: A youth was drowned in Malpe after he slipped and fell into the sea. According to sources, a group of 23 youth had been to St Mary’s Island for picnic on Sunday.
Twenty-five-year-old Ritesh Acharya, who is a goldsmith from Puttur slipped and fell into the sea.
Police sources have informed that Acharya was washing his hands on the island after lunch when he fell into the water. However his body has still not been found.
A case has been registered in Malpe police station.
