Mangalore, Feb 12:
A demand for a Karnataka State Coastal Comprehensive Development Authority has been placed by Mangalore MLA N Yogish Bhat.

The need was expressed with the government so that special attention is given for the development of tourism in the coastal districts.

Bhat, who spoke to the press in a press conference here on Monday said that need was felt as the region possessed high potentials in tourism which stands under utilized, while the neighbouring states of Kerala and Goa have done.

IT Park and Food Park which are on the cards will also get a boost if the Authority is formed, he said.
