M'lore: CME programme on disaster management at AJ Hospital

Mangaluru, Mar 18: The department of community medicine conducted a  day long CME programme here on Tuesday March 17, on the theme 'disaster management – planning, preparedness and response' at AJ Hospital.






The star resource person was Lt general (Dr) N K Parmar ex dir gen armed forces, med services. Professor Ramachandra Kamath of Manipal University, Professor S Shrihari of NITK and K G Nanjappa, director, directorate of factories and secretary district crisis management group discussed on various aspects of disaster preparedness.

The simple but elegant inaugural function was chaired by Prashant Shetty, vice president LMET and inaugurated by B Sadashiva Prabhu additional district commissioner Dakshina Kannada. The gathering was welcomed by Dr Hemant Kumar, medical superintendent. 

CME theme was elaborated by Dr S Jayaram, HOD community medicine. Vote of thanks by Dr Pradeep Senapathi.  

More than 240 public health related delegates across Karnataka participated in the CME.
