Modi to address farmers in next 'Mann ki Baat'

New Delhi, March 18 (IANS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address farmers in his next "Mann Ki Baat" address that will be aired on March 22 on All India Radio, an official communique said on Wednesday.

Scheduled for broadcast at 11 a.m. on that day, the sixth edition of the radio programme, a platform where the prime minister shares his thoughts with the citizens, will focus on farmers and allied issues.

Modi has also invited citizens to share their ideas and thoughts on the subject in the Open Forum at MyGov.in, the statement said.

In the earlier five editions of "Mann Ki Baat", Modi dwelt upon the Clean India mission and issues relating to the promotion of khadi, skill development, scholarship for disabled children, infrastructure for educational institutions and the menace of drugs.

In the last broadcast on February 22 he had urged students to shed their examination stress and develop a positive attitude.

Modi has also shared the platform with US President Barack Obama where the two leaders interacted with listeners on a host of issues during the latter's official visit to India in January.

The address that is simultaneously broadcast live on All India Radio and Doordarshan channels, can also be heard on Vividh Bharti, FM Gold and FM Rainbow radio.

The programme would also be live-streamed at http://pmindia.gov.in/en/

What he will address to Maharashtra farmers where cattle farming is severely affected due to ban on slaughtering. They will now no longer be able to sell old, ageing cattle to the meat industry. Farmers in Maharashtra are already killing themselves because of frequent drought conditions. Will they be able to support old animals that eat more and drink several litres of water a day?

The present type of 'vikas' leads to farmers suicide. If farmer commits suicide no farming work. Then no need to land bill b'coz no strength left in farmers to protest.Grab the land give to adani / ambani like people. Then let us all sit and eat imported poisoned rice from china, locally produced cement/steel/coal etc...Maan gaye aapki baath ko dear PM !

Dear Mr. Prime Minister, instead of giving one more impractical speech which would only waste your and listeners time, please spend your valuable time in solving the on going burning national issues such as rape, attack on worship places, moral policing, murder of efficient officers, etc. Spend your valuable time in educating or convincing your Sangh Parivar members (RSS/BD/VHP)who have hijacked the fundamental rights of common citizens of India by force which were given by the Indian constitution such as freedom of life to live, eat, etc as a democratic citizen. We voted you and your party in the hope of development, to wipe out corruption and mainly our safety from anti-social, anti communal elements. But, day by day our hopes are getting shattered because of your inactive nature to control or rather eradicate all these anti social, communal elements. Slowly we are feeling that we are not living in a democratic country, but in a dictators world controlled by some religious fanatics who are only trying to dump and follow their blind cultural beliefs by force on other communities/religions. Our request is, its not too late, please wake up and take stringent action against these anti social elements and if possible ban these elements. We have still faith in you. Prove that you are a good leader and administrator.
