Ramachandran appointed vice-chair of an ANOC commission


New Delhi, March 18 (IANS): Indian Olympic Association (IOA) president N. Ramachandran has been appointed vice-chair of the Association of National Olympic Committees (ANOC) international relations commission, the IOA announced on Wednesday.

In a letter issued by ANOC president Sheikh Ahmad al-Fahad al-Sabah on Tuesday, he said that the ANOC took the decision on the appointment on March 13.

"I have the great pleasure to inform you that, in my capacity of ANOC president and in consultation with the ANOC vice presidents, we decided on March 13 to appoint you as a vice-chair of the ANOC international relations commission," ANOC president al-Sabah said.

"The appointment is for 2015 and we are planning the first commission/working group meetings later this spring after consultation with the chair of each Commission."
