Mangaluru, Mar 20: Infant Mary’s church at Bajjodi installed its first pastoral council on Sunday, March 15.
The pastoral council was installed during the mass when the priests and elected members lighted the lamps symbolically to signal that the news pastoral council has taken over. The elected members also took oath on the occasion. The parish priest honoured the office bearers with flowers on behalf of the parishioners.
The new parish council was elected in meeting of members held on March 1 under the leadership of Fr Melwyn D’Cunha, the parish priest and Fr Deep Fernandes elected Joseph Mascarenhas as vice president and Irine Pinto as secretary.
