Chitradurga, Mar 21: After a truck hit a car at Laxmisagara in the district on national highway 4 on Friday March 20, three persons travelling in the car lost their lives. The deceased are Anand Katti (42), Rahul Karatagi (40), and Vishal Hanchina (24), all natives of Dharwad but presently residing in Rajajinagar, Bengaluru.
While Vishal was pursuing MBA course at Bengaluru, the other two were working for software companies. They were going to Dharwad for taking part in Ugadi festival.
It is gathered that the truck was taking a U-turn when the car in which the three were travelling collided with it, and got badly mangled. All the three were killed on the spot.
A case in this connection was registered in Bharamasagara police station.
