Davanagere, Mar 21: A person who murdered a woman near the court complex at Harihar in the district on Friday March 20 waited by the side of the mortal remains of the lady till the police came and arrested him.
The murder was committed by Hanumanthappa from Jakrunti, Yalaburgi taluk. Manjula (32), resident of Kodiyal Hospet in Ranebennur taluk was stabbed by Hanumanthappa to death. It is said that the two had extra-marital affair.
The police said that Hanumanthappa had come to Harihar along with Manjula. It appears that the two fought over some issue, after which angry Hanumanthappa seemed to have killed the lady with a knife, the police said, who are continuing with investigation in the case.
