Bengaluru, Mar 21: Because of their suspicion that the people connected with the government might engage in foulplay as a measure to protect their own interests, villagers of Doddekoppalu village have been guarding the grave of deceased IAS officer, D K Ravi, in their village.

They have divided the work of keeping vigil there by rotation throughout day and night. They also have on hand the additional job of handling steady stream of protesters who want to prostrate before Ravi's grave before moving ahead, and scores of his fans, particularly from Kolar district, who seek to pay their respects to their beloved officer.

In the meanwhile, news coming from Tumakuru said that the aunt of Ravi, Padmamma, who was sick at the time of the officer's death, and who had stopped consuming food in the backdrop of this tragedy, died on Friday. She was suffering from diabetes, and her health worsened after she stopped eating food, it is gathered.
