Mangalore Feb 18: A grand Sri Krishna Balarama Ratha Yatra by the ISKCON Mangalore unit decorated the city red on Saturday, Feb 17. The annual event began from PVS junction and was flagged off by Pandit Madudasaji, vice president of ISKCON temple, Bangalore.
Held in the evening, the procession reached 'Sanghanikethan' after traveling through Hampanakatta, Central Market, Alake and Mannagudda.
Devotees chanted ‘Hare Rama Hare Krishna’ and danced pulling the ratha.
A grand Abhisheka of Sri Krishna Balarama, a class on Bhagvat Gita, Darshan Aarati and Gurupuja will be held at Sanghaniketan on Sunday, Feb 18.
