Tata Communications partners with Indosat in Indonesia

Mumbai, March 26 (IANS): Indian communications company Tata Communications on Thursday said it has entered into a partnership with Indonesian mobile network firm Indosat to offer enterprise solutions to the southeast Asian country's industries.

As per Tata Communications, the partnership will result in offering a wide-ranging set of services including network services, value added services, unified communications and security solutions besides industry-specific solutions.

"The development means enterprises will have access to tried and tested solutions that can be tailored to create local variations that ensure high performance, quick delivery and the highest level of customer support," Indosat director and CEO Alexander Rusli said in a statement.

According to the company, the total enterprise IT spending in the Indonesian market is expected to reach $14.09 billion by 2018, of which telecom services will account for $4.96 billion and data centre services for $750 million.

"Indonesia's digital economy is thriving with a strong start-up culture producing innovation in ecommerce, mobile, social media and digital content. The link up with Indosat means that enterprises in the local market can tap into our existing global network," said Tata Communications' CEO, growth ventures and service provider business, Rangu Salgame.
