Mangalore, Feb 23: As per the directives of state-level Sangharsha Samiti, Anganwadi workers in the district will stage a protest in front of the deputy commissioner’s officer on Wednesday February 28 to urge the fulfilment of various demands.

Addressing a press conference here on Thursday February 22, president of the district committee of anganwadi workers Jayalakshmi B R said that the committee will take out a procession on the occasion from taluk panchayat office to the deputy commissioner’s office. 

The committee will place various demands such as payment of honorarium on the basis of seniority of service, payment of pensions, provident fund rules for workers etc.

Among those present were committee vice-president Cheriamma, treasurer Vijaya Eshwar Gowda, Bhavani Anchan and S H Leelavati.
