Karkala, Feb 23: A young man was killed after being hit by an unidentified vehicle at Attur near here on Wednesday February 21 night.
Suresh Achari (28), a resident of Palli-Sidhiguri was on his way back home riding a bike on Wednesday night when the accident took place. His friend Santhosh Acharya too was with him when the accident took place.
As they reached Kallambadipadav near Attur, a recklessly-driven unidentified vehicle rammed into their bike. Both of them were knocked down from the bike and fell on the road. Though Santhosh sustained only minor injuries, Suresh received critical injuries especially in his head. He was immediately rushed to the hospital for treatment. But owing to excess bleeding he breathed his last on the way.
The Karkala rural police have registered a case in this regard.
