Udupi, Feb 23: The newly-constructed state highway between Mangalore and Athrady was inaugurated by Kaup MLA Lalaji R Mendon on Friday February 23 morning.
The highway has been constructed at a total sum of Rs 45 lac. Zilla Panchayat member George Jerald Fernandes, TP members Celestine Martis and Rita Monteiro were the chief guests on the occasion.
Belle gram panchayat president S Ramesh, vice-president Devdas Hebbar, Shirva gram panchayat president Ramrai Patkar, block BJP president Raveendra Shetty, locals Abubakkar, Imtiaz, PWD chief executive engineer Suresh Shetty and assistant chief executive engineer Sridhar Shetty were also present on the occasion.
