Mangalore, Feb 23: The week-long decennial celebrations of Nitte Institute of Physiotherapy, a unit of Nitte Education Trust, were off to a start on Friday February 23 at the college premises.

State minister of health education Dr V S Acharya was the chief guest for the inaugural ceremony while Nitte Education Trust president N Vinay Hegde presided.

Indian Association of Physiotherapists (IAP) president Dr Ali Irani was the guest of honour.

A souvenir was released on the occasion by IAP vice-president Prof Savita Ravindra.

Nitte Institute of Physiotherapy advisor Dr H Ravindranath Rai was felicitated on the occasion.

The week-long programmes that include events like seminars, camp, exhibition, alumni reunion, college day and graduation day will culminate on Wednesday February 28.
