Mysore, Feb 25: Karnataka's capital, Bangalore, as well as Mysore, described as the cultural capital of the State have of late tended to shelter terrorists.

Intelligence reports having revealed that terrorists were camping in the two major cities of the State, Police stepped up vigil which resulted in the nabbing of two terrorists Fahad and Ali Hussain in Mysore on Oct. 27.

The disclosures made by the terrorists during narco analysis tests have startled the Police. Their statements have provided clear clues on terrorists taking shelter in the two cities. They are busy hatching plans to carry out destructive activities in both Mysore and Bangalore.

It is also rumoured that terrorists have camped in some locations of North Karnataka. ADGP Subhash Bharani told a private news agency that there was no clinching proof for the presence of terrorists. He has, however, confirmed about their presence in Mysore and Bangalore.

Having disclosed that Police were keeping a close vigil on the movements of terrorists in the State, Bharani said that the Police Department was well equipped to contain the terrorists in Karnataka.

Forensic Science laboratories had been established in Mysore, Bangalore, Davanagere and Gulbarga, he added.
