Karkala, Feb 25: In order to mark the fourth annual day celebrations of Banglegudde Swalath Majlis, a mega Swalat Sammelan will be held on February 28, 2007 at the Banglegudde Salman Jumma Masjid.

Speaking at a press conference Hayatul Islamic president B M Abdul Khader Haji informed that international scholar Tajul Ulama Ullal Thangal, Khamarul Ulama A P Aboobaker Musliar and American Islamic Dua Centre Director Moulana Mufti Mohammed Ali Kazi will be present at the event.

Minister for Labour and Minority Welfare Iqbal Ansari will lay the foundation stone for the construction of Karkala Sar Hind Islamic Academy School hostel building.

Among those expected to participate in the event are also entrepreneur Siraj Ahmed, Ullal Block Congress president U T Khader, Islamic Culture Centre secretary Mumtaz Ali, State Wakf Council member Mohammed Kunhi, Udupi District Muslim Okoota president Thoufiq Abdulla, Udupi District Wakf Council chief Budan Basha, Udupi District Janata Dal secretary Umarul Farooq, State SSFI leader Moulana Abusufian Madani, G M Mohammed Kamil Sakhafi and a few other leaders from Dakshina Kannada and Udupi.

Muslim Federation district vice-president Ashfaq Ahmed, Muslim federation district treasurer Nasir Shaikh, Swalath Sammelan welcome committee vice president Mohammed Akram, Sar Hind Islamic Academy president Sulaiman, Mohiddin Sakhafi, Hayatul Islam treasurer basher Ahmed and Ibrahim Banglegudde were present at the press conference.
