Kinnigoli, Feb 26: Tulu theatre is making great strides and is also become famous then cinema and TV serials, said former state president of Kannada Sahitya Parishad Harikrishna Punaroor.
He was speaking at the inauguration ceremony of the Dakshina Kannada, Udupi and Kasargod, district-level Tulu drama competition held here on Sunday, February 25.
The inaugurator of the event Nalin Kumar who spoke on the occasion said the Tulu culture has also grown alongside the theatre.
Journalist Ganesh Prasad Pandelu, Mulki ITI principal Y S Salian, artiste Madhusudan Idya, Sathyan andJayavanth Pai were present on the occasion.
The competition will be held till March 3.
