Police to carry out another search operation in Delhi malls

New Delhi, April 3 (IANS): In the wake of central minister Smriti Irani's CCTV camera episode in Goa and a case here where a mobile phone was found in a changing room, Delhi Police is planning to conduct another round of search operations in malls and showrooms to safeguard women's dignity.

Last month, a girl had spotted a phone in video-recording mode inside the Van Heusen trial room in south Delhi's Lajpat Nagar and had filed a complaint.

"After the incident, our team had conducted a search operation in every malls and showroom of the national capital," Special Commissioner of Police (Law and Order) Deepak Mishra told IANS.

"We will conduct another search operations in every mall and showroom in the city to ensure dignity of women is safeguarded," he added.

The second round follows after Irani caught a CCTV that overlooked the changing room in Fabindia, a niche clothing boutique in a Goa village, in which the minister was trying out clothes on Friday.
